Leaves the little harbour around 6:30 pm and runs down to Isola delle Correnti. Ask us about Nino: it's cheap and it isn't the tourist version.

What to do, in our opinion
In Sicily it is not only where you go: it is what time you get there. These are ours.
Vendicari at seven in the morning
In August it's the only sensible hour. Enter from Calamosche, flamingos on the salt pans until March, and you're on the beach by nine.
The tonnara and the palazzo
Five minutes on foot. The square is the one from the films, Palazzo Villadorata can be visited, and the deconsecrated old church hosts exhibitions in summer.
The Pachino wineries
Nero d'Avola and Moscato, ten minutes by car. Two or three run serious tastings you won't find on TripAdvisor. We'll book them for you.
Cava Grande del Cassibile
An hour's drive, then the descent to the pools. Bring real shoes and set off early: the climb back up is not a stroll.
Noto in the evening
Half an hour by car. Go around 7 pm, when the light cuts down the corso and the stone turns orange. Then granita at Caffè Sicilia.
